a teenage boy had just passed his driving test and asked his father as to when he could use the family car.. .
his father said he'd make a deal: 'you bring your grades up from a c to a b average, study your bible a little, and get your hair cut.
then we'll talk about the car.'.
I always thought it was JEHOVAH'S Celestial chariot so maybe Jesus got his hair cut and was allowed to drive the family chariot.......

will their be marriage and sex in gods new order?.
what about children being born?.
these questions have bugged me since i was a child.
a teenage boy had just passed his driving test and asked his father as to when he could use the family car.. .

His father said he'd make a deal: 'You bring your grades up from a C to a B average, study your Bible a little, and get your hair cut. Then we'll talk about the car.'
The boy thought about that for a moment, decided he'd settle for the offer, and they agreed on it.
After about six weeks his father said, 'Son, you've brought your grades up and I've observed that you have been studying your Bible, but I'm disappointed you haven't had your hair cut.
The boy said, 'You know, Dad, I've been thinking about that, and I've noticed in my studies of the Bible that Samson had long hair, John the Baptist had long hair, Moses had long hair...and there's even strong evidence that Jesus had long hair.'
To which his father replied, 'Did you also notice they all walked everywhere they went?'

we bought land!.
some of you might remember a delema i had a couple of months ago over buying a house... and gave lots of great advice.. well, we ended up buying a large block of land (modern developers would cram 8 houses on it) one hour outside the city in a really nice little town of only 250 people.
the block has an 1860 ruin on it that looks like an old school or church.
Buying land is a good idea; they stopped making it a long time ago!

one fine saturday morning you're sleeping in, when the doorbell rings.. to your surprise, when you answer the door, it's- you guessed it- a duck.. so the duck tells you, "hello, my name is mallard.
i talk to jesus so you should listen to me because the world will end in 10 seconds.".
you say to the duck, "interesting...", you say.. 3 minutes pass while the duck is hiding his cross, child abuse papers, and freemason symbols.... .
Needs an orange pushed up its *** and stuffed in the oven till crispy!

a bolo tie is a western look.
i remember seeing brothers wear western cut sports coats...wear cowboy booths...would a bolo tie be ok today?
i know the no hair look passed.
Thank you, Blondie. Looks fine to me. Didn't know what it was called but have seen it worn by members of Country & Western group playing here.

how many here (who are no longer jws) believe that servants of god must be politically neutral?
i ask, because there are many regular posters who do not participate in political discussions -- ever.
there could be a wide variety of explanations, but i would like to know if any of you refrain from political discussions and political activity because of your religious beliefs?.
I am in my 60's and have never voted due to being a JW. I would like to vote but so have not picked up the courage as the voting station is situated between my house and the KH, bound to get caught out.
The WTS upset a lot of JW's here in the UK in the 1980's when they renamed the Falkland Isands to the malvinas in the yearbook maps of those years. Those islands were, are and always should be the Falkland Islands until the residents want otherwise. Such an overt political action by the WTS was unforgivable.
